NYC concrete testing coordination

Coordinate the pour, field testing, specimens and required evidence.

516Labs helps contractors, owners, consultants and project teams structure NYC concrete-testing requirements and identify qualified local providers with the correct capacity, technician coverage and role separation.

Project inputs

Concrete testing cannot be priced from strength alone.

The project address, permit/specification, mix designs, quantities, frequency, placement schedule and filing obligations determine the executable scope.

FIELD

Placement-day testing

Dispatch windows, technician credentials, slump, air, temperature, specimen fabrication and field records as required by the specification.

SPECIMENS

Cylinders and curing

Specimen identity, initial curing, pickup, laboratory receipt, curing conditions and scheduled breaks.

STRENGTH

Compressive strength

Break schedule, report routing, missing specimens, low results, supplemental requirements and closeout tracking.

MIX

Mix-design coordination

Required documentation and provider role are separated from field-testing responsibility when the project or code requires it.

DOB

Licensed-provider review

Applicable NYC Department of Buildings laboratory, inspection and filing responsibilities are confirmed per project.

SCHEDULE

Capacity and coverage

Geographic coverage, notice requirements, concurrent placements, after-hours work and reporting turnaround.

Before the first pour

Send the specification and placement schedule.

We will identify missing scope, qualification and capacity questions before seeking provider pricing.
